The Top 12 competition is organized in the form of a championship with two-way matches.
The 12 best WAG teams of the previous season are divided into 4 pools of 3 teams according to the results of the TOP 12 2020-2021.
The competitive calendar runs from February to June. It is divided into three phases, a qualification phase, a semi-final phase and the final.
The matches are composed of duels between gymnasts of two teams which take place on 3 predefined apparatus.
A duel corresponds to the confrontation of a gymnast of each team on one apparatus.
Duel won = 3 points
Duel drawn = 2 points
Lost duel = 1 point
The accumulation of the points makes it possible to establish the classification by group. The first team of each of the 4 pools qualifies for the semi-finals.
The two winners of the semi-finals meet then in final to dispute the title of champion of France TOP 12.
The first matches took place this last Saturday, the 26th of March 2022. It was an opportunity to see Alisson Lapp compete again after her freshman season in NCAA for LIU last year.
